3 Affordable Curly Hair Product Brands

Over the years I swear I've tried almost every curly hair product out there, or it least it feels like I have. After all the trials and tests I've narrowed down the most affordable and effective curly hair products. There are a lot of different curly hair products out there and sometimes it's hard to know which ones are worth your money.


1. Cantu

$4-$15

Cantu's curly hair products are perfect for Type 3 $ 4 curls. The coconut and shea butter in all their products will quench your hair's thirst in not time at all. They have everything from conditioners and shampoos to curl creams leave-ins. They even have a product line for kids!


Here are a few of my favorite products by Cantu:

This lightweight leave-in conditioner is not only affordable but it works so well, especially for those with Type 3 & 4 curly hair.

This curl activator is a really good option for curly hair (type 3 curls) because it's moisturizing while also enhancing natural curls.

I love this curling cream for all curly hair types! It does a great job at defining the natural shapes in your hair.


2. Pantene

$5-$15

Pantene has a great line of products for curly hair that are sulfate-free, which is really important in curly hair products because sulfate can dehydrate and damage curls. These products are perfect for type 2 & 3 curls.


Here are a few of my favorite products by Pantene:

This curl cream is an awesome product to use, but make sure you pair it with a good leave-in moisturizer. It's sulfate-free, but on it's own it doesn't have a lot of ingredients meant to promote moisture.

The Pro-V Curl shampoo and conditioners are my absolute favorite affordable shampoo and conditioners out there. The shampoo is cleansing, but it doesn't dehydrate. The conditioner is the perfect moisturizing base for your hair care routine.

This curly hair gel is perfect for wavy and curly hair. You'll find yourself amazed at how soft and defined your curls are after using it! No crunchy or hard curls in sight with this gel in your hair.


3. Not Your Mother's

$5-$15

Not Your Mother's products will blow your mind! I love these products because they're amazingly effective. Not Your Mother doesn't specialize in curly hair products, but they do it so well that it doesn't matter. Their curly hair products are perfect for wavy hair (type 2 hair).


Here are a few of my favorite products by Not Your Mother's:

Your curls will turn out soft and moisturized if you add this cream to your daily curly hair routine.

This texture spray isn't specifically designated for curly hair, but it is perfect for type 2 waves. It adds volume and texture without adding the dreaded crunch that a lot of sprays and gels do.

This leave-in conditioner is miracle-working. It's nutrients and ingredients are perfect for dry hair and will leave your hair soft and well-nourished.


Final Thoughts

There are so many wonderful curly hair products and brands out there. The ones I listed above are my personal favorites, but these three brands are the best mix of quality and affordability I've found yet.
